Signs of the Future is one of the mainstay inserts in Bowman and Bowman Draft baseball card and football sets. The set was first issued as part of 2002 Bowman Draft Picks and Prospects. The cards feature prospects and other players currently in the minor leagues. In recent years, this insert set is not as popular with collectors as some of the other autographed inserts in Bowman. Starting in 2005, the cards have sticker autographs rather than on-card autographs and the player lineups are typically weaker compared to the other autograph sets available. The set ceased to be included in Bowman beginning in the 2009 release of Bowman.
