Mother’s Cookies is currently a brand of Kelloggs that is primarily sold on the west coast of the United States. Originally the bakery was founded in Oakland in 1914 and has been bought and sold by many different private and corporate entities through the years.

In the realm of baseball cards, Mother’s Cookies is best known for their team sets which were inserted into products in the markets of the certain major league teams. Throughout the 1980’s and 1990’s the Giants, Mariners, A’s, Dodgers, Padres, Astros and Rangers were all featured in sets. Additionally superstars such as Nolan Ryan, Will Clark, and Ken Griffey Jr were also given their own individual sets. The last Mother’s Cookies sets were produced in 1998 after 117 sets/promos.

1950’s[]

In the early 1950’s Mother’s Cookies did not feature major league players, but instead players from the Pacific Coast League. Remember the Dodgers and Giants did not move west until 1958.
