The 2008 Topps Heritage set was designed based on the 1959 Topps Baseball set. It was released on 2/27/2008 as the second baseball card release of 2008 from Topps.


The 2008 set continued the traditional 8 cards per pack, 24 packs per box and 12 boxes per case in both Hobby and Retail packs. The main difference being the odds of pulling a autographed and game used insert card. In hobby boxes, an average of 8 short prints, two chrome parallels and 1 AU/GU card were all insert per box along with a 3 card box topper.

Inserted as box toppers in the Walmart Blaster Boxes, ths 10 card set features some of baseball's hottest stars and one Hall of Famer. The cards were issued three per $10 box and six per $20 box.

Inserted at a rate of 1:12 both hobby and retail packs, the Flashback cards highlight events from the 1959 baseball season.
