The 137 card base set features many of the all-time greats from 1900 until the 1980's. The pictures are typically action photos from the player's career.
Insert Sets[]
Autographs[]
This 93 card insert set was the main insert set for 2001 Greats of the Game. The on-card autograph set is amongst the most collected sets of 2001. 19 of the cards are short printed and are in much higher demand. There were on average 3 autographs per hobby box and one autograph per retail box.
Retrospection[]
Dodger Blues[]
One of two game used inserts sets included in 2001 Greats of the Game packs, this set focuses entirely on Brooklyn and Los Angeles Dodger players. Typically one game used card was inserted per hobby box.
Feel the Game Classics[]
The second game used set in the 2001 Greats of the Game release. It included cards of Babe Ruth and Hack Wilson. On average, one game used card was inserted per hobby box.
