The 1991 Leaf set was sold in hobby and retail outlets in 36 pack boxes that came 15 cards per pack. There were no significant differences between the hobby and retail packs. The set was split into two series.
This 26-card insert features 24 rookies and prospects including Mike Mussina and Jeff Bagwell. As well it includes a special card for Nolan Ryan's 7th no-hitter and Rickey Henderson breaking the career stolen base record.
Similar to the Studio set, a series of preview cards were included in some 1991 Donruss Baseball Factory sets. Each Hobby factory set contained four cards, with different photography and numbering that the base set. These cards typically have a higher demand (and thus price tag) than the base set equivalents.
